How much does it cost to rent a dirt bike for a day?

From $140 for a Honda CRF125F up to $275 for a KTM 300SX. The Honda CRF250F and Kawasaki KLX230S are $220, and every bike has a half-day rate.

Is the deposit an actual charge?

No. It is an authorisation hold that reserves the amount on your card without taking it, released once the bike is returned in good condition. It runs from $150 to $400 per bike depending on the machine.

Are there hidden fees?

No booking fee and no charge for the safety briefing. Utah sales tax is added at checkout, fuel used is charged at return at $6.50 per gallon, and state parks charge their own day-use entrance fee per vehicle.

Is the gear bag cheaper than separate items?

Yes. The helmet, boots and a pants-and-jersey set come to $30 booked individually, and the full gear bag is $20 per day. It also adds gloves, goggles and a backpack or chest pack, so if you are arriving with nothing it is the obvious choice.

Do you offer half days?

Yes, every bike we rent has a half-day rate. Paddle boards are available half day, full day or by the week.

How can I keep the cost down?

Ride midweek, ride between November 1 and March 31 for 15% off, rent for two or more days for 10% off, take the gear bag rather than separate gear, and book a half day if a couple of hours is all you want.

Do you charge for a trailer?

$35 a day for the small trailer (2 to 3 bikes) and $50 a day for the large trailer (4 bikes), each with a $400 deposit hold. We only keep two, so if you need one, reserve it at the same time as the bikes.

Multi-day and off-season discounts

Book two or more days and 10% comes off the day rate on every bike we rent, gas and electric. From November 1 to March 31 there is also 15% off all bike rentals, and it stacks with the multi-day discount. Both are applied automatically at checkout.

About the deposit hold

A deposit hold is not a charge. It is an authorisation placed against your card that reserves the amount without taking it, and it is released once the bike comes back in the condition it left in. The amount is per bike and scales with the machine: $150 on the CRF125F and Mantis Mini, $200 on the other electric bikes, $300 on the CRF250F and KLX230S, and $400 on the KTM 300SX.

What is not included

Utah sales tax is added at checkout. Gas bikes go out with a full tank and you do not refill them: fuel used is worked out when the bike comes back and charged at $6.50 per gallon. State parks such as Sand Hollow charge a day-use entrance fee per vehicle that has nothing to do with us. There is no booking fee and no charge for the safety briefing.

How to spend less

Take the full gear bag rather than three separate items if you are arriving with nothing. Book a half day if you only want a couple of hours. Ride midweek or between November and March — spring and autumn weekends are when the fleet is tightest, and a Tuesday gives you a much better choice of machine.
