Riding Gear and Trailer Rentals in Apple Valley, Utah

Everything you did not want to fly across the country with.

Most riders who come to Southern Utah for a weekend on the trails do not want to check a gear bag, a helmet, and a set of boots onto a plane. That is what this page is for. AlpMX Adventures rents motocross helmets, riding boots, goggles, and matching pants-and-jersey sets out of Apple Valley, Utah, a short drive from St. George, Hurricane, Sand Hollow, Warner Valley, and Zion National Park.

Gear can be added to any dirt bike rental at checkout, or booked on its own if you already have a bike and just need something you forgot. Jerseys run S through XXL and riding pants run waist 32 through 42, so most groups can be outfitted from one booking. Pick your dates first and the site will only show you what is actually available on those days, sizes included.

Hauling your own bike?

We also rent dirt bike trailers, which is usually the missing piece when a group flies in, rents a truck, and then realizes there is no way to get four bikes out to the dunes. Add the trailer to the same booking as your bikes and pick everything up in one stop.

Not sure what you need for your first ride? Call us at (385) 236-8086 and we will talk through it. We would rather spend five minutes on the phone than have you show up short a helmet.

What to Add to Your Booking, and Why

Riding gear, a trailer, and the extras people wish they had booked.

Almost everything on this page exists because a customer once turned up without it. Gear and extras are added to the same reservation as the bike, so there is nothing separate to arrange and nothing to collect from anywhere else.

Helmets

A helmet is the one item we would insist on if we insisted on anything. We keep eight, cleaned between rentals. If you are particular about fit, bring your own — but if you are flying in, take one of ours rather than riding without.

Moto boots

The most commonly skipped and most commonly regretted item. Trainers offer no ankle support and nothing between your foot and a footpeg or a rock. Moto boots are stiff through the ankle for exactly that reason. We keep nine pairs. Call us on (385) 236-8086 with sizes if you are booking for a group and we will confirm what we can cover before you pay.

Pants and jersey set

Riding in jeans is fine right up until it is hot, and then it is miserable. A proper set breathes, moves, and does not soak through. We hold sixteen sets, which is usually enough for a full group.

The gear bundle

If you need helmet, boots and clothing, the bundle packages them together for less than the three separately. Worth taking if you are arriving with nothing.

Dirt bike trailer

The extra that changes what your day looks like. If your vehicle can tow, a trailer means you collect the bikes here and ride at Sand Hollow, Warner Valley or Gooseberry Mesa rather than only where you can reach from the shop. We keep two, so on spring and fall weekends this is the item most likely to be gone if you leave it late. A larger refundable deposit hold applies to the trailer than to the gear.

Hiking and water gear

Not everything here is for riders. Water hiking boots, trekking poles, dry bags and sun hats for the Zion Narrows are on our Zion Narrows gear page, and inflatable paddle boards for Sand Hollow, Quail Creek and Gunlock are on the paddle board page. All of it can go on the same booking as a bike, which is how most mixed groups do a long weekend.

What to bring yourself

Sunglasses or goggles, more water than you expect to drink, sunscreen, and a way to carry your phone that is not your pocket. Southern Utah is dry and deceptively hot, and the shop is not close enough to the trailheads to be a convenient second trip.

How to add it all

Pick your dates first and the site shows what is free on those days, gear included. Add the extras to the same reservation and you are done. If you are unsure what you actually need, call us — it is a two-minute conversation and it saves a wasted morning.
